This system was created under the initiative of digital workplace in an institute, where the student feedback of a studied class was collected using paper in class. The class information setup was done in Excel communicated through email. This system helps to reduce the paper and the staff resource used for conducting the student survey.

I was the main accountable staff of this project with duties to collect user requirements, drafting tender requirements, existing system interfacing, managing vendors, system deployment, conducting user training, and system support.

The system uses two frontends, one under private network as an internal system for data setup and the other under public network as an external system for students to login and fill in the surveys. Both system connect and use the same Oracle database.

I analyzed the data needed from other existing Oracle databases, sought for system owners’ permission, and created views to obtain the students, classes, instructors information required in the survey system for data setup. I deployed the system using OpenShift to orchestrate the deployment with Gitlab as the source control and Jenkins as the approval pipeline.

In addition, I wrote sample codes for the authentication through Active Directory using LDAP when the vendor was in doubt, a deploy script to reduce manual work introduced by the vendor, and an email sending functions when the vendor was behind schedule.

With my gaming background and Unity skills, I also helped to animate a tutorial video for the students, which could be viewed in this page.
